The Heli-Centre facility is located at Caloundra on Queensland's beautiful Sunshine Coast. One hundred kilometres to the south, is the city of Brisbane, which offers international air and sea port facilities. The facility at Caloundra occupies 1238 square metres with another 1200 square metres of building space occupied by associated companies. The associated companies are: Queensland Institute for Aviation Engineering, who provide engineering mechanic training from basic subjects to full Civil Aviation Safety Authority licensing, and Chopperline Flight Training, who are a fully approved and well respected pilot flying school, that offers fixed wing and helicopter training from private, to full Air Transport Pilot License level. Both of these operations complement each other, and together with the operations of Heli-Centre Australia make Caloundra airport a popular centre for the Helicopter and general aviation industry.
